Getting started: Prescribing CRENESSITY for your patients

STEP 1: Streamlined, simple prescribing options

For the most streamlined prescription experience, submit a completed CRENESSITY enrollment form to PANTHERx. You can also prescribe CRENESSITY through other methods, including ePrescribing, faxing (1-855-606-7288), or calling (1-855-CRNSITY 276-7489).

For the most efficient access to treatment for your patients, be sure to submit clinical documentation, including 6–12 months of clinical notes, recent lab values, treatment history, and diagnosis, along with the prescription. Regardless of how you prescribe, a Care Coordinator will work with you and your office to follow-up on any information that is still needed.

You and your office can also call Neurocrine Access Support with questions about prescribing or for guidance along the way.

Call 1-855-CRNSITY (276-7489) 8 am to 8 pm ET, Monday through Friday

STEP 2: Dedicated Care Coordinator outreach to your patients

Once PANTHERx receives a prescription, a dedicated Care Coordinator from Neurocrine Access Support will contact your patient to align on next steps for receiving their CRENESSITY prescription.

Remind patients to expect a call and to save the Neurocrine Access Support phone number so that they don't miss important information about their prescription.

If the Care Coordinator is unable to reach your patient by phone, the pharmacy won't be able to fill your patient's medication, which could delay your patient from starting therapy.

STEP 3: Help with benefit verification and prior authorizations

After the initial intake is finished, your dedicated Care Coordinator will continue to help your patients, you, and your office.

Support for your office:

  • Verifies your patient's insurance coverage

  • Navigates insurance plan requirements

  • Collects necessary clinical information about your patient from you or your office

  • Provides hands-on prior authorization support to prepare for your submission to the plan

  • Assists with appeals if needed (Note: make sure to share any denial letters for CRENESSITY with the Care Coordinator)

Support for your patients:

  • Identifies appropriate financial support options for eligible patients

  • Offers guidance to help them understand their coverage and next steps

  • Helps them get started on treatment with CRENESSITY

  • Connects them to a PANTHERx pharmacist trained in classic CAH for clinical support

Neurocrine Regional Patient Access Managers (RPAMs) can also help you and your office work through more complicated insurance coverage requirements. Visit the page for more information. Benefit Verification page for more information.

STEP 4: Prescription is fulfilled and shipped directly to your patient

The Care Coordinator will work with PANTHERx, who handles fulfillment, to schedule fast shipping of the prescription to your patient's door, at home, or wherever they may need it delivered. Your patient or their caregiver will need to provide a signature upon delivery of CRENESSITY. If your patient chooses to opt in to program communications, a Welcome Kit with helpful information and resources will accompany the first prescription.

Since this may be your patient's first experience with a specialty pharmacy, it can be helpful to let them know what to expect the delivery process. The Care Coordinator can also help answer any questions about delivery.
